The New York Jets have struggled in the 2024 season, currently holding a 3-7 record. However, punter Thomas Morstead has gained attention for his off-field efforts, launching a Punt for ALS campaign to raise funds and awareness for the disease affecting his friend, Steve Gleason.
Morstead recently received the Lou Gehrig Sports Award for his contributions, alongside notable figures like John Sterling and Adam Graves. He has pledged to donate $1,000 for each successful punt inside the 20-yard line, having already achieved this 14 times. His campaign has raised over $22,000 towards a $100,000 goal, with incentives for donors including Super Bowl tickets.
