The Seattle Seahawks made significant roster adjustments ahead of their Week 18 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, officially signing cornerback Artie Burns and nose tackle Brandon Pili to their active roster. With these moves, the Seahawks are looking to solidify their lineup as the season draws to a close. Burns, who steps in for Jobe, is expected to play on Sunday, while Pili, although signed, will be sidelined due to an illness.

In addition to these signings, Seattle elevated defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna and tight end Tyler Mabry from the practice squad. Bohanna's promotion serves as a precautionary measure due to rookie Byron Murphy II's questionable status stemming from a back injury. Mabry's elevation also addresses the loss of depth at tight end following Brady Russell's placement on injured reserve earlier this week.

The Seattle Seahawks will be without starting right tackle Abraham Lucas as they conclude the 2024 season against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. Lucas is sidelined due to a new abdomen injury and did not practice throughout the week. With the Seahawks eliminated from playoff contention, it's prudent to rest him in a game of no consequence. Veteran Stone Forsythe and rookie Mike Jerrell are potential replacements for Lucas in the lineup.

This season has been particularly challenging for Lucas, who has missed over half of the games for the second consecutive year. He began the season on the PUP list following offseason knee surgery and only returned to the field in Week 11. Despite his struggles with injuries, he started the last seven games, contributing to a 5-2 record while allowing 17 pressures and two sacks without any penalties.

With Lucas out, the Seahawks will also miss cornerback Josh Jobe, who injured his knee in a Week 17 win. Jobe, who joined the team’s practice squad in September, had emerged as a starter and had been effective in coverage. Tre Brown is expected to start in his place, with rookie Nehemiah Pritchett also active, and veteran Artie Burns could be elevated from the practice squad if needed. Additionally, rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II is questionable due to a back issue, which may lead to further roster adjustments.

Brandon Pili, a defensive tackle previously with the Miami Dolphins, has signed with the Seattle Seahawks just two days after being waived. The second-year player from USC recorded two tackles in his eight games with the Dolphins this season.

Meanwhile, former Dolphins second-round pick Raekwon McMillan is also seeking a new team after being released by the New England Patriots. McMillan played in nine games this season, starting four, after recovering from a torn Achilles injury.

The Seattle Seahawks have made significant changes to their inside linebacker group, waiving starter Tyrel Dodson following a disappointing stretch of five losses in six games, leaving them at 4-5 in the NFC West.

Head coach Mike Macdonald indicated that all options were being considered during the bye week. Dodson, who had been a key player with 71 tackles in nine games, is now subject to waivers.

In a series of roster moves, the Seahawks also placed safety K'Von Wallace on injured reserve and signed cornerback Josh Jobe from their practice squad.

The Miami Dolphins have waived defensive tackle Brandon Pili, who played a backup role in the first eight games of the season. This move is likely in preparation for activating wide receiver River Cracraft from injured reserve, especially with the team facing injuries to other receivers.

Pili, a rookie free agent, averaged 8.5 snaps per game. His release leaves the Dolphins with four interior defensive linemen on the roster, while the potential exists for his return after clearing waivers.
