The Atlanta Falcons are intensifying their search for a new defensive coordinator as they interviewed Derrick Ansley from the Green Bay Packers and Lou Anarumo, previously of the Cincinnati Bengals. These interviews follow discussions with New York Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich and Michigan's Wink Martindale earlier in the week.
Ansley has a history with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he served as a defensive assistant and subsequently as defensive coordinator before moving to Green Bay. Anarumo, who was dismissed after a six-year tenure with the Bengals, previously joined the Miami Dolphins as a defensive backs coach and had a stint as interim defensive coordinator in 2015. This search comes after the Falcons parted ways with Jimmy Lake and Jay Rodgers following a disappointing 8-9 season.
